Who am I?

My name is Katja Geiser

I’m a physiotherapist and specialised on the pelvic floor, sex counselo r and Zwangerfit lecturer. I’m 38 years young, married and I have two kids. Working in the medical section specialised on the pelvic floor for years I’ve worked with all age groups and gender identities. I wanted to gain more knowledge on gender identities so I started my training as a trans* consultant at DGTI e.V. In 2022, finishing the training this year.

Since the end of 2021 I’m voluntarily working at „Regenbogenzentrum Geilenkirchen“. This is a youth club with counselor support for LGBTQIA+ people. I’m also a member of the „Vielfalt mit Herz“ organization. They support and stand up for rights of lesbian, gay, bi, trans*, inter* and non-binary folks. In the Kreis Heinsberg. Trough both of these volunteerings I’m in contact with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, i’m sensitized for their experiences and I’m gaining knowledge about queer perspectives everyday. I’ve also had a training at „Landeskoordination Inter* NRW“ about giving advice to inter* people and their families. Currently I’m having another training at „dgti e.V.“ to become a counselor for trans* people too.
